FASD Awareness Day (Calgary Fetal Alcohol Network)

“Burgers, French Fries, Cookie Dough OH MY!

Come out Sept 9, 2022 for an afternoon of raising awareness about Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). Join us for food trucks, games, prizes and more from 4pm to 7pm at The Lakeview Community Centre.

FASD is a lifelong disorder impacting the brain and body of people exposed to alcohol in the womb. 4% of Canadians (1.5 million) have FASD. This is more than the number of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, and Down Syndrome combined. People with FASD can and do succeed with the right supports.

In the spirit of reconciliation, we acknowledge that we live, work and play on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina, the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations, the Métis Nation (Region 3), and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta.”
