Let’s Talk ADHD – Adult Support Group (CanLearn Society)

Living with ADHD as an adult can leave you feeling frustrated and misunderstood. Fortunately, there are strategies you can learn to help manage your symptoms of ADHD.

What to expect?

  • Learn strategies to improve executive functioning (organizing, planning, focusing, sustaining effort, initiating), handle stress and create healthy habits.
  • Connect with other adults facing similar challenges.
  • Facilitation by a Registered Psychologist who understands the unique needs of adults with ADHD.

Who is it for?

  • Adults 18 with diagnosed or suspected ADHD.

Course Outline

Session 1 – The Neuroscience of the ADHD Brain and the Role of Executive Functions

Session 2 – Thoughts, Feelings, and Emotions – Addressing Those Negative Thought Patterns

Session 3 – Motivation and Getting Started on Tasks

Session 4 – Focus and Managing Distractions – Planning and Prioritizing

Session 5 – Emotional Regulation and Distress Tolerance

Session 6 – Relationships and Boundaries

Session 7 – Moving Forward and Following Through

The cost of this program is $595. It is available for Alberta residents.

We may have funding available to help those impacted by the COVID pandemic depending on your location. Please fill out the following and we can help determine whether you would qualify. The group fees may be claimable with insurance/extended benefits.
