Transition Planning to Adulthood Weekend Blitz – Day 1 (Gateway Association)
Transitioning to adulthood is one of the most important life transitions we experience. Youth ages 16-20 require support in navigating this critical time of life.
This workshop offers parents the opportunity to acknowledge the fear of the unknown and move forward with the acknowledgement that together we will work to support the values of each individual and family as a community.
This condensed workshop series will cover:
Life Transitions – Understanding life transitions and the barriers to successfully transitioning to adulthood.
Valued Roles in Community – Exploring social roles and how to be valued as a respected member of community.
Visioning and Planning – Creating a plan for the future based on a vision supported by goals and strategies.
Navigating the Systems (FSCD & PDD) – Understanding adult services and systems of support.
Both days must be attended to receive a certificate.
